Today it was announced that Josh Ho-Sang has been recalled from the Islanders’ AHL affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. At age 21, Ho-Sang is in his first professional hockey season and has 10 goals and 26 assists to show for it through 48 games at the AHL level, good for second on the team in scoring. The call-up comes before the Isles head out to Dallas to face the Stars on Thursday, their first game following the trade deadline (tomorrow at 3:00 pm ET). Doug Weight says Ho-Sang will make his NHL debut Thursday in a “top-6, top-9” role (as per Brian Compton). Ho-Sang had an impressive training camp with the Isles but started the year in Bridgeport.
